Solar Panel Dedication Sep 13

LET THERE BE LIGHT! SOLAR DEDICATION, Sep 13 – With thankfulness for the gift of light and for our shared calling as stewards of creation, we gather to dedicate Gloria Dei’s solar panels and solar storage battery to the glory of God. On Sunday, September 13, following 10:00-11:00 a.m. worship, we will gather outside in the alley where our solar system is located to share in a brief service of readings, brief remarks, singing, and prayers of dedication. John Goeke from Star Power Electric, who installed the battery and the wall-mounted panels, and Bret Pence from MN Interfaith Power & Light, will be present to show details of our solar plus battery system and respond to questions. As renewable energy increases our capacity for ministry in the neighborhood, we are grateful to God for planners and installers, financial givers and community partners, and all who helped bring these projects to reality.
