GRIEFSHARE RETURNS AUGUST 8 — PARTICIPANTS & NEW FACILITATORS WELCOME
Because last year’s GriefShare program was such a meaningful and supportive experience for participants and volunteers alike, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church is grateful to once again offer this 13-week grief support program.
Are you or someone you love navigating grief after the loss of a love done? GriefShare offers a caring and welcoming place to receive encouragement, support, and hope alongside others who understand. We are also currently seeking additional volunteer facilitators to help support and grow this important ministry.
This 13-week GriefShare group will meet on Saturday mornings beginning August 8 through November 7, 2026, from 9:30–11:30AM in the Lakeside Room at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. This year’s schedule also includes a bonus “Surviving the Holidays” session, offering extra support as participants approach the holiday season.
GriefShare is a compassionate, video-based support group designed to help individuals move through the journey of grief with encouragement, faith, and community. Each session includes practical teaching from trusted Christian counselors and grief experts, group discussion, and personal reflection. Topics include loneliness, difficult emotions, questions for God, regrets, hope, and moving forward.
Grief can feel incredibly isolating, but no one has to walk through it alone. Whether your loss is recent or from many years ago, GriefShare offers a caring and welcoming place to be supported, heard, and encouraged alongside others who understand.
Cost: $5 per person
(Includes participant workbook and all classes.)
We are also seeking additional volunteer facilitators in order to spread responsibilities across a larger team and continue building a supportive and sustainable ministry. Facilitators receive training and ongoing support through the GriefShare organization and our local team. If you are interested in walking alongside others in grief, we would love to talk with you about becoming involved!
